Hi everyone!! As you all know I have been struggling with health issues over the last year and had made the difficult decision that I needed to step down as being the moderator for this group. I love you all so much and enjoy being a part of it - so you're not getting rid of me completely....I still plan to participate. I was working on my 2022 goals and sending cards to the monthly causes is on my list of goals for 2022.
I am SOOOO EXCITED and HAPPY to announce to you all that KERRY will be taking over the group beginning in January! Kerry is such a kind soul and has been part of SCS for quite some time. She was the moderator over the RAK group. I know Kerry is going to do great things with the group...I'm excited because I know with Kerry the group will continue to thrive and I look forward to seeing where it goes. I'm sure Kerry will pop in soon and introduce herself to you all....if you don't know her already.
Thank you to each and every one of you who have supported the group and continued to send cards even when I would be MIA at times. You are such a wonderful group of people who are really ANGELS on this Earth. You have no idea the lives you impact each and every month...you give so much more than you think...you share your crafting talent but you also share your heart and you give of yourselves. You inspire me!! It is such an honor to be part of this group....to be part of you. God bless you all!!!!! And Thank You - for all you do...for all you give...for all you share.
Thanks for everything you've done for the group Zella! You've been a great lead on organizing the causes brought to your attention and finding new options when there have been available months without a cause. That takes effort that is not always recognized. I'm glad you'll be able to step back now and focus on your health.
Welcome Kerry! Looking forward to 'meeting' you and thank you so very much for stepping into this role - it is very much appreciated!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Yay Kerry, Thanks for taking the lead and keeping this wonderful group of stampers and this great cause going. Look forward to “meeting” you soon.
Zella, you have been such an inspiration to all of us. Thank you so much for all your hard work. As Becca said, locating these groups and coordinating with them is a ton of work but you made it look like “poof” magic. I hope you will pop in and keep us up to date on you and your health. Wishing you much love and blessings and a happy holiday season. Hugs and much thanks.
Zella thanks the for all you hard work.... I love being a part of the group. And I wish you well. And thought and prayers are you. And my friendship too! Your friend Linda
Hello, everyone! For those of you who don't know me, I thought I should post a little bit about myself.
I have been one of the RAK coordinators for many years now. Zella and I first connected through the RAK group where she generously helped with the weekly RAK challenges so I am pleased to return the favor. I will do my best to fill her shoes well.
I am the primary care giver for my mother and work full-time as a programmer. I am a huge dog lover (I like cats, just not as much as dogs). We have a 2-year old Chipin mix who keeps me on my toes and is the best little buddy for my mother. I need to update my avatar as my current picture is our beloved Cammie who succumbed to cancer last January.
The last couple of years I haven't done as much crafting as I would like but these challenges always get my mojo going. I look forward to facilitating this group. As Jennifer McGuire says, cardmaking is our superpower and we can use that superpower to encourage others.
This is Penny. I love those little wrinkles on her forehead.
Hello Kerry

Zella - you did an amazing job leading this group/thread! I still miss you being in Pam's Monthly Swap. Take good care of yourself and so glad you'll still be participating in the card causes!
Kerry - welcome and thanks for taking the helm!
One of my personal goals for 2022 is to get more involved in sending cards for these wonderful causes.......
Hugs to all -

Thank you Zella for all your hard work in making this group such a success! I'm glad you are going to participate but also make your health a priority, you have to take care of you! One of my goals for next year is to participate in more causes. I have so many cards just sitting in boxes that can be blessing someone else. Wishing you a wonderful holiday and please keep us posted on how you are doing,
As some one who has admittedly not been the best participant - I've recognized great leadership!
You've done a great job - and now it's time to take care of yourself.
I'm going to try to commit to doing better in 2022 than I did in 2021....
and look forward to seeing where Kerry will be leading us.
Thank you, Zella, for introducing me to Cards with a Cause. I've really enjoyed working on this project.
Welcome, Kerry, thanks for being willing to take the helm going forward. I love the photo of your little Penny. My current avatar is a minpin called Pocket. Unfortunately, we lost her to diabetes a few years ago. She was a very special little creature and I still miss her everyday. When I figure out how to change my avatar, I'll introduce my current companion, Mischief. Again, thanks for taking over here. I am working on my cards for our January cause. Kay
Zella--thanks for all your hard work, and welcome Kerry. I've gone back to work after having been home 27 months, but hope to participate each month even on a small scale.
Happy New Year to all the great crafters on SCS

Hi Kay! Yep...sure do...it will be posted tomorrow....I sent it to Kerry.
Ah, I need to update my avatar too...the one I use was my beautiful Boots...we had to put him to sleep in 2020....we also had Willow and sadly we had to put her to sleep in 2021. Both were senior cats (over 15 years old each) when we had to put them to sleep and it broke our hearts to have to do it...but it had to be done due to their health. Now we have Dash. We said we weren't going to get another cat after Willow...that lasted about 4 weeks...LOL!! Dash is 5 years old.
It won't belong now. Kerry will be new Hostess I am looking forwarded towered it! Where is first Organization for Jan. for 2022? Thanks Linda
Hi Linda! The January cause is the THRU Project. You can find a bit about them on the 2022 At A Glance post....the full information should be posted tomorrow or shortly after.
Thanks I will go look now at 022 At A Glance post! Thanks Linda

I have been missing from this forum for a while due to a sudden death in my family. I’m back now, so I want to say to Zella, thank you so very much for the stellar job you have done leading us. I appreciated that you have been on top of things. You always posted causes on time, and you’ve been responsive to people’s questions. The fact that you’ve done this while dealing with health issues is amazing. I am so grateful for you leading this opportunity to use our cardmaking to bring cheer to others. I send my sincere wishes for improved health for you, Zella.
Since I derive so much pleasure from making and sending Cards for a Cause, I am very thankful for you, Kerry, for stepping up to lead us in the future.
Thank you, Zella and Kerry! Wishing you and all of the people on this forum a healthy and peaceful new year!

I have been away from this group for quite some time due to health issues (pancreatic cancer). Now that my doctor has taken me off chemotherapy I have a bit more energy to make cards again. I already make cards for my church as well as another church ministry, but promise to participate in these causes too. Welcome Kerry!

So sorry to read what you have been going through; but so glad you are able to get back to stamping. I hope you find much joy in that. I know I do. Hugs.
Kerry has not been around. Bur, if you have questions I will try answer them. I am new to this too! But, I told her I would try to help her. Thanks Linda
