My name is Betty Turner and I would like to make holiday cards for my parents
facility. They are in a memory care unit in Oakdale, MN. My wish is to make
Valentine's, Easter, July 4th, Halloween and Christmas cards. No envelopes

The residents love the cards. Just got back from facility now, and they are on
lockdown again. Tested 4 people with covid. 2 residents and 2 employees.

No, I do not need anymore Valentine's cards. We have enough. Thanks for
asking. My next holiday for the residents will be Easter. I can use help there.
My parents are in a long care facility in Oakdale, MN. They are both in
memory care. The residents so appreciate the cards. Any help would
be great!

Hello Betty!
I have quite a few Christmas cards that I've made over the years and was wondering if you'd be interested in receiving them. I know it's 6 months until Christmas lol but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.
Hi Jen,
I would love some cards. My parents are in the long term care facility in Oakdale, MN.
My target number is 75 for holidays. I will take what you want to send. No envelopes
are needed. My Dad hand delivers them to his floor.
I will be delivering July 4th next week. Looking into Halloween next.

Thanks so much.
Great! I don't usually do Halloween cards but I've wanted to have a reason to lol. I'll work on some of those as well as gather some Christmas cards for you. Should the cards be signed or sent blank?
Thanks so much for the help. The cards can be blank inside or stamped and/or signed.
Which ever is easier for you. If the cards are blank I stamp them and sign your name.
I am dropping off July 4th this Thursday because I'm taking Mom to a doctors appt.
Hi Betty - Just checking. I mailed my July 4th cards last week. I see from the above post that if they are sent blank, you sign our names to them? Seems to me it'd be just as easy for us to sign the ones we send in instead of you having to go thru the extra work. I thought the cards we send were for the staff to sign for them.. So, just to be clear, you prefer us to sign our own cards? LOL thanks
Mac
I'm not sure if I have received your cards yet. I will keep a lookout for them.
If the inside is blank I do stamp and sign them with your name. If you would like,
go ahead and sign the cards. Sorry for the confusion. My Dad likes to pass out
the cards on his floor. He is in memory care.
Thanks for all the help.
When reviewing the information for this month's mission, I noticed that that Bring Smiles to Seniors has this info on the website:
If you have a senior community that you would like to be added to our mailing rotation, please email us at [email protected] with the community name, phone number and number of residents if known and we will make contact with the community.
I realize you father enjoys handing out the cards you receive himself, but maybe more residents at his facility would get cards if they were also on the mailing rotation for Bring Smiles To Seniors
