BrighterBirthdays.org in Rome GA is on the list for ongoing cards. We serve 11 schools of underserved Children, and go through about 3000 "gender Neutral" kids birthday cards per school year. Our stock is getting a little low, and school is fixin' to start here in Northwest GA, so if you'd have time to make us a few, we surely would appreciate it. Envelopes not needed.

It would be a pleasure to make you birthday cards for the kids. If i read it right, you would like cards that are suitable for either a boy or a girl. Lorraine

Just a head's up.... If sending cards to Brighter Birthdays, the PO Box part of the address is not part of the mailing address. My post office said the address was not valid yesterday when I dropped off cards, but I was able to pull up last year's listing for the group and the address there was listed as 3 Central Plaza #383. Copied below for reference.

do you still need cards? And, I'm always confused: should cards be sent blank or signed by the crafter? (this little detail is never mentioned in any of the Cards for a Cause posts). Thank you !

Thank you all for contributing cards and bag toppers, for those of you who did those.
Yes it is NOT a PO box - it's a UPS Store (used to be known as mailboxes) location so it's a box within that.
IF you like to sign your cards, you certainly may. We do have volunteer groups that write in and sign the unsigned cards.
Yes - gender neutral means suitable for a boy or a girl. What happens is - the ziplock bags of "smalls" including cards gets packed and topper applied by one group and they're packed in boxes. When they have a "PACK" of the back packs, the boxes of ziplocks are one "Pick" in a line of all the things that go in the backpack. So volunteers either walk down the line and grab one of each item and put it in the bag. When finished the bags are packed into giant lawn and leaf bags and taken to the schools, where the guidance counselors distribute them. There is NO WAY for them to select a bag of the proper gender for the student.

The organization has emailed me today to say they could really use some more birthday cards soon If you can help with birthday cards suitable for a boy OR a girl, we'd be grateful!
I will go through my stash and see if I can send off a few cards.
