Is it OK to send some cards late - this is the first time I’ve had the opportunity to make a batch of cards - just haven’t gotten them in the mail yet.

I'm so glad I found this group. Whenever I make cards using different techniques I'll make a set of 6. After sharing a select few I usually have a couple extra. They've been piling up and need to go. I need to make room for new sets.
As long as they accept them I'll send cards their way.
I just packaged up 38 cards with pre-stamped envelopes. Heading to the post office to mail them out. This feels great! It's a win-win...the soldiers get free cards to use and I get some of my cards that are just sitting in my craft room used up.

FYI - I sent 50 cards with envies and stamps and they have been received. Lana sent a very nice email thanking me. What a great service her organization provides for members of our military.

Received an email today with the latest "news" from WHEAT. They wrote a beautiful tribute/thank you to Splitcoast Stampers for the cards they received from this effort. Here's a link if you are interested:
I wanted to share an email that I received from Lana at WHEAT...
Zella,
Hello from W.H.E.A.T.! Can you please
share this information with the awesome card makers? W.H.E.A.T.
just received a beautiful "thank you" card from a soldier in
Afghanistan. His unit received many of your handmade cards, one of which
is attached. The soldier used one of the blank cards/stamps that
W.H.E.A.T. sent to him/his unit to mail a "thank you" to all of us,
including YOU! His card reads: "Thank you for the cards, the box of
goodies! The team truly appreciates your kindness. Your father and Roger
are correct, hot sauce definitely makes the food taste better. [We sent
a box of hot sauce, too;] * * * Thanks again!!! Larry"
Y'all
have made a huge, positive impact on our American soldiers
deployed overseas. We've mailed approximately 1/3 of the cards to our
soldiers overseas. Another 1/3 will be mailed overseas, along with
stamps/pens, in the next 3 weeks so that soldiers can surprise loved
ones back home with a handwritten note for the holidays!
Not only
has your group mailed us gorgeous cards (cards are still rolling in ), the stamps, money for postage, and goodies to pack in the care
packages if so very much appreciated!
"Thank you" to
our veterans who participated in this incredible project to benefit our
American soldiers overseas. I'm sure that there are many of you in this
group, but the one that I know of is: Kay Robinson! You make us proud to be Americans!
Our
website is under revision (should be revised by tomorrow), but want to
let y'all know that I wrote a blog about your incredible group. You can
find it at www.honortroops.org under the "Blog" tab. If you wish to subscribe to future blogs/newsletters, you can email me directly at [email protected] or sign-up on our website under the "Newsletter" button.
Thanks again! Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or comments.
It's wonderful to hear the positive feedback and know of the impact that our packages have on the recipients! Thanks for sharing Lana's message with us! Becca
