Default SU on-line ordering

I just stumbled on a demonstrator's site which offers on-line ordering from Stampin' Up... supposedly a new feature. Problem is, prices are 20% higher than the prices in the new catty. Anyone have any information about this?

Is it possible that you're looking at a Canadian (or other country) site?

I had problems with my shopping cart being dumped out when I was trying to make an order.

Anyway, I noticed that at one point, I lost my "demonstrator" and was on a generic store page. It showed a higher price for each item, but in the shopping cart area, it said something like, "save $xx by choosing a demonstrator"

So I assume that if you don't go through a demonstrator online, you get a higher price than others. Maybe they are having some problems and you got dumped out onto a "no demonstrator selected" page???

Yes, Lindy, I think you are right! It must be a Canadian site... at least I hope so!

Although the site I visited did not indicate anywhere that it was based upon Canadian prices, I think that's the answer. Guess we'd better be pretty careful when placing an on-line order.

Hi!

I think this thread addresses the higher prices for on-line purchases at SU!

Forums at Splitcoaststampers

I don't believe that the differences that you saw were Canadian prices, but the cost if you purchase directly through SU! The least expensive method is to purchase through your SU! demo's website. If your demo does not have a website you can order through SU! and list your demo for reduced pricing (but not reduced shipping.)

I am not a SU! demo, so if I am incorrect, I am sure that one of the fine SU! demos on this board will correct me.

They are higher because you are not ordering under a demonstrator.
