I just got back from Michael's with a much larger purchase than I had planned. Their Holiday ribbon is 70% off - 1.99 rolls were marked down to 59 cents. A lot of it is of course the red and green, but there were some pretty soft greens, burgundies and others that could be used year round. ANd I got some red for Valentines.
I did not look closely, but I think this is a short term sale.
Thanks Dorothy! I heard they were clearing out their Christmas stuff already. Our M's has a 70% off sale this week...that's a great idea to grab reds for V-day, even greens for St. Patty's day and spring!
Oh great, back to M's I go!! i was there 3 days ago and couldn't believe they had so much of the Christmas stuff marked down to 60% off already. what are they going to go down to after Christmas??? LOL

I just picked up a few rolls! I couldn't believe they were only 59cents!
I bought 27! The selection was great on Friday. There were a lot of three ribbons on one spool for 89 cents. Of the 27, only six are purely Christmas; the rest included browns, lime, pink, and a lot have a nice shimmer to them.
You know, there are some up sides to a down side economy! I think we are going to find some great deals out there. I am on my way out the door to go see this one. Thnx!
At our Michael's the American Crafts single rolls of ribbon were included in the 70% off sale, so I bought 30 rolls ~ can't beat 59 cents a roll. However, it was only a two day sale, and the following day, the ribbon was 50% off.

Yup, it was short term. Friday it was back to 50% off - now we probably have to wait until after Christmas!
