My older daughter and son-in-law informed my dh and I that they are expecting. This will be our first grandchild. I'm so excited! Just had to share the news.
Congratulations!!! You will love being a grandma! It is so fun! And the neat part is you can spoil the kids, fill them with lots of fun and love and then send them home! I have three grandchildren and I love each and everyone of them! Congrats!!! Enjoy!!!

My daughter and son-in-law told us they were planning to wait a couple of years. I guess God had other plans for them. I'm so excited, I started crocheting bibs. I also want to crochet some booties and an afghan. It will be great looking at all those little clothes again. I have really missed that part. Thanks for the congrats.

Being a Grandma is the best!!!! My screen name is Grammy, that is changed to Gramma now, but, I'm not changing the name. My Grandson's birthday is this weekend. I think Grandkid's make you appreciate life in a different light. The first time they put the little baby boy in my arms the water works went on, and they come on everytime you see them do anything. We have baked at baseball games and froze at soccer games and wouldn't change a thing. You are in for the ride of your life.
Congratulations. Grandchildren are great, and so are great-grandchildren. We have 3 grandchildren, 25, 23, & 3. Our GGC are 6, 1, and expecting another in the fall. But I tell you what. There is nothing like it. Hope all goes well with her & the baby.

It's wonderful to hear from other grandmas. My daughter has a doctor's appointment on February 12th, so we should have a better idea of when the baby is due. My husband and I were hoping to take a vacation in September, but may have to wait until October. Will let you know when we find out.

This will be the first grandchild on both sides. Both grandmas have warned the parents that this will be one spoiled baby. (Do you suppose they could have twins so that both sets of grandparents would have one to spoil?)
