HOBBY LOBBY coming to POUGHKEEPSIE NY!!
My friend just told me the other night that a Hobby Lobby is coming near us. We are soooooooooooo excited!!  Maybe it will give the other ones,Joannes,Michaels and ACMoore a run for there money. Should be opened in 3 months.

You will love the 50% off sales that HL has for their albums, album refills and paper! They seem to have one of these sales at least once a month...

hobby lobby
Congratulations!!! we got one here in Buffalo about a year ago, and it is my favorite store by far now....the others stores are old hat now and seem to never get anything new....and I love the sales they have!!! we stalked the store for 3 weeks until it was open...well worth the wait..now if we could just get an archivers closer than ohio 4 hours away...but all good things come to those who wait I suppose.

Do you know where in Poughkeepsie is it supposed to open?
When my family and I were in Ohio a few years back I had a chance to shop at a Hobby Lobby, it was very nice.

It is supposed to be right there where the new Bobs Discount furniture store is and the Christmas Tree shop is. I couldn't wait for a Christmas Tree shop to come,and now a bonus.....Hobby Lobby!!!

I was just at Hobby Lobby today in Douglasville, GA. It is my favorite store. I love everything in it. Have fun when you get to visit your new store. Make sure you have hours to browse around.

We are getting one in NEWNAN, GA finally. Oh my gravy how long did it take to get a hobby lobby, the closest one to newnan in fayetteville, ga. Who wants to drive so far. I cant wait till this one opens. Hobby Lobby is my fav store.
Janet I see your in GA. I just actually moved from Douglasville about 2yrs ago. I am orginally from Ga. (NEWNAN). But we came to Tn with Husbands Job, PUBLIX. |

Question for those that have shopped at Hobby Lobby
Do they stock reinkers? I hate buying inkpads without also getting a reinker (plus I use them for some techniques).
Usually I stock up at rubber stamp conventions but the location closest to me (Dutchess County Fairgrounds) will be have a scrapbook convention instead. I did find lots of inkpads and reinkers at a scrapbook convention on Long Island but with the likelihood of fewer vendors I'm not sure what to expect this year.

I save any gift money I get for birthdays, etc. for Sept's convention. From 2005-2008 Heirloom Productions were there (more stamper oriented) but I am just as addicted to pretty papers and embellishments so scrapbook conventions are fun too. In fact, I even have a couple of albums in a box w/various "stuff" that fit their themes so I am sure I will find ways to spend my money.

Yes that is me. Nancy told me (well checked with me to see if it was me) the other day that I have been "talking" to her friend on splitcoast. It is a small world. She'll have to bring you with her when I get my room downstairs finished and up and running to do stamping,scrapbooking and all kinds of crafts!!! Maybe we can all go to the fair grounds in Sept. too.

What kind of album and paper did you get? I've gotten the 4x6 mat stack size pads of DCWV paper for a good deal just alittle while ago. They have good deal at times....just have to keep checking and dig alittle sometimes....LOL! What we won't do for a deal.... ;)

I am from the Poughkeepsie area and Hobby lobby is going to be in the South Hills Mall whereThe Christmas Tree shop and Bob's discount furniture recently opened.This mall is near the Galleria mall and both are on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie. I can't wait for it to open.Same old stuff at Mike's and AC Moore .--Karen

I'm with you. I remember when that was THE mall to go to before the galleria was even built. Maybe ACMoore and Michaels will start to carry more. I'm going to start saving now for the Grand Opening...maybe they will have some great deals!!!

I bought a school themed Bridgeport brand scrapbook kit for that contains an album, 20 sheets of adorable paper, 3 sheets of stickers, and a whole bunch of chipboard and die-cut shapes - for $10.00!!!!!!! I am an SU! snob, so I don't buy just anything - LOL. It's too cute! I also bought a cloud9design cardstock number stickers package - 133 pieces for $1.50 and a 176 piece cat scrapbook kit for, are you ready for this?? $3.00!!
See, I'm supporting the economy and saving money! Sorry, that last line was for my husband. Gotta go, thunderstorms, again!

I don't know if Nancy told you, but I was a demo until my accountant said I had to stop. Apparently the IRS frowns on you spending all the money on your own stash!!
