I went to the website this morning and the site says that Hanna Stamps is currently out of business. I was hoping to get the Mr. Right and Detective Hanna stamps. I hope "currently" means that someday Hanna Stamps will do business in the future (wishful thinking?). I'm surprised no one mentioned this yet. It almost makes me wonder if we're not supposed to talk about it. I hope everyone who had open orders got them already.
Oh that's too bad. Maybe it was too much for the owner to run it as a separate company. Perhaps they'll pair up or sell their things through someone else. Thanks for the head's up.
okay I was reading some blog entries and it looks like she has sold the Riley portion of the stamps to a new company... it's in Kansas and it's called Riley and Company, here is the link: http://www.rileyandcompanyonline.com/home
it also says that the store will be down for some time, here is a direct quote from the riley blog:
"We are in the process of some great and exciting changes over at Hanna Stamps. Our website will be going down for these changes....."
So maybe they will be back and just focus on Hannah images?!?!?!?
But their SCS Member Company Forum is gone, and I checked a couple DT/upcoming Guest DT blogs (from the huge contest they had in the summer), and their Hanna DT badges, etc. are also removed.
What gets me is that I bought and paid for Dectective Hanna - and have the invoice for that, and I was sent Cyber Hanna instead. I wish the owner had been more honest about things. It's left a bad taste in my mouth , so to speak.

It was my understanding that the website was going to be down for awhile and then there was to be a big release in November for November and December. Never been a release. I know that she sold Riley to a stamp store and those are available on line. I also have an order that has not shown up even though I sent payment. Not sure what is going on now...I thought they were going to be down for a short time and then back. ???? I have sent an email and have not received a reply.
I don't know who proofread her stamps but I sent her a message about a mispelling on one of the phrases stamps. I told her the phrase should be: "What's shakin' bacon?" instead of "What's shaken bacon?" She wrote back:
"Hi thank you so much for letting us know about this stamp set. BUT....the
what's shakin' is the form of (What's shaking)...thanks for looking out for
us."
Isn't that what I had just told her? I felt like she didn't read my question before responding. As a result, I feel I can't use that stamp because I don't want anybody to think I can't spell even if it is slang. In light of some of the problems a few others have been experiencing with their orders, I guess she really HAD been running this business by herself. But I thought her design team helped her out as far a having correct spellings. I loved her stamps too much to stop buying them, though. I'm sad to see Hanna Stamps go. I hope she comes back bigger and better.
Yes, I tried to contact her repeatedly via the phone number listed on the site, and via the contact email as well. I think she just weyt out of business and did not have the courtesy to inform her design team or her customers.

Pretty poor, I think.
Now that just bites. She had to have known there were loose ends to tie up before closing up shop.:(
That was the last communication that Kristi posted. Well over a month ago. Not to mention that she also posted that she was having a release party in Novemeber but that never happened either. No one on her DT team has heard from her either. The whole thing seems strange to me. Kristi usually updates us all on her blog or at lease get's in touch with her DT members to let them know what is happening. Hopefully we will know more soon.
Thanks. I did already know this though. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't buy them through Hanna stamps though. It's a lot easier on the wallet with combine shipping than to have to pay twice from two different companies. KWIM

Yes I know what you mean. I am really bummed that Hanna is out of business. I had some sets I wanted to get. I sure hope she comes back!
The whole situation is just odd. Even if she had a medical emergency in the family, or went bankrupt, or just burned out - it would be nice to have SOME kind of update or communication. Even if it's an "I can't go into details" type of thing.
There are some Hanna Stamps available at addictedtorubberstamps if anyone wants them badly.
Lorri
Thanks for the info. It appears Hanna Stamps is a new company to addictedtorubberstamps and they are selling Riley's and Hanna's. So maybe Kristie is just selling her stamps through different venues now instead of by herself. I am sure it was a lot of work.
I know that other companies have carried her stamps for a while. I have seen Hanna Stamps at eP and if I remember correctly All That Scraps, not surprised to see that AddictedtoRubberStamps now has them, they carry lots of lines for all different companies, I don’t think they are affiliated in any way, but if a company wants to carry your line they contact you for wholesale prices I believe, a lot of the smaller companies seem to do so to get their products out.
I do hope we find out what happened though, Kristi is a sweet heart and was always easy to contact and willing to adjust anything as needed, I do hope everything is alright.
There are quite a few people who do know what is going on. I think what is important is to keep the family in your thoughts and well wishes and to not sling mud.
I've had nothing but wonderful dealings with Kristi and was sad when she split from Riley, but it just had to happen. And now this... it had to happen.
Be patient, she's always made everything right by myself and every other store owner I know who ordered from her.
I don't think anyone is mud-slinging. I think it's concern. Because for these things to happen, something major has to be going on. And it's usually not good. :(

And communication with the people who have concerns can go a long way to allay those concerns. If people have unresolved customer service issues, there should be a contact for them. Otherwise, it leaves everything open to speculation.

Thank you for posting this. I've got to say that what I know of Kristi is all good. She was a special guest last year at the MI mingle and was super generous to all of us. I got to eat dinner with her and one of her DT members and she was hilarious.
My last contact with Kristi was just before the annoucement that Riley had been sold off. I don't know the details of what is going on, but what I gathered was she had a lot going on. Her posts from around that time on this site made it seem like she was overwhelmed and that is why she was selling off Riley. It didn't seem like business was hurting, but that it was too much for her to handle.
I hope everything is ok with Kristi and her family. They will be in my toughts.
I can't imagine being at a place in life that I didn't even have two minutes to post a blog update with a general "need time off" statement without going into details. Especially when you've got all these fans and loyal customers. So I think there is much more going on than being overwhelmed. That's what concerns me.
Denise, you are right - when no information is given, it leaves it open to speculation. That's not good either.
There ARE some major life things going on right now and no speculation or mud slinging is necessary. I am not at liberty to say as it is most certainly not my place. But when Kristi can I am sure she will get to posting be it here or on her blog.
I personally know her and can say that Kristi is a sweetheart and truly don't believe she would just leave everyone high and dry. She loves Hanna Stamps way too much for that.
Just please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers instead of saying nasty things about her.
I don't believe anyone has said anything "nasty" about her at all! We just all know there's got to be something terribly wrong for this to be happening. That's all.

Agreed! There are simply a number of people expressing their concerns.

I agree. I am one of those person's who has an unresolved customer service issue, which I've tried repeatedly to resolve via the contact number that used to be on the site as well as the by email . Nothing.
I for one would have appreciated some sort of info that Hanna's stamps was * diappearing " for all intents and purposes.
I don't call that mud slinging. That's just stating facts. No matter what the problem is, one can find a couple of minutes to write something up on the Site... or delegate that to a friend or family member.
I agree with what everyone has said. I'm sorry that something not so good has happened in Kristi's life to have Hanna's stamps come to a standstill. I will speak for myself regarding this but since I have been buying Hanna's stamps, Riley's and going to the release parties since day one it is more than buying stamps. At SCS you get to know a lot of little thing about that persons life that is feels like a family (KWIM). So for me I was worried that something bad had happened. All I would of asked for was a little communication. A message on the blog that she is going through somethings, can't give any more information now but will update us when things settle down. So I agree that a little communication would of gone a long way. I will keep Kristi and her family in our thoughts and prayers and hope that whatever they are going through right now comes out ok.

I was a design team member for Hanna for about 6 months. I was so thrilled to be asked and very happy on the team Kristi was amazing. As a DT member we did not see the sets until a bit before they were sent to us, after they were already in production. So no we did not proof read the sets.
That aside I stepped down as a Dt member well before the closing down of Hanna for my own personal reasons. I am however confident that as soon as Kristi is able she will take care of any unresolved issues. We all have to remember that her Daughter and family are the single most important things in her life and she should not feel obligated to even type one sentence about what is going on.
I think here on SCS we all get so involved in what is going on we feel like we are intitled to an explanation. I know all the concern comes from our hearts but we are not owed an explanation at all.
Please do not take what I am saying as an insult or attack I am not trying to be rude. I'm just being very honest! :-D

I agree she deserves her privacy, but there seem to unresolved customer service issues for some people. That's a cause for concern to those who feel they've been abandoned and not treated properly. Just packing up and going away without taking care of details is unprofessional. Whatever the reason, the folks who have product issues should have been given some answers.
That said, Klawster- I certainly used my GC, bought a bunch of Rileys! And at that time, my communications with the company were delightful. And the service was likewise.

The way she spelled it makes perfect sense for the slang version.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Hannah Stamps and own a ton of them. The Riley stamps aren't my cup of tea but I am glad they will be available for those that love them. I like all the others and really hope they will be available again someday. There are precious few companies that make stamps that are of grown woman doing things, so many are kids and while they are cute I don't have kids so I prefer using Hannah's stamps that show the slightly older generations.
