I would like to donate to both ones, but I don't have paypal and I don't like using my credit cards on the computor, [had a problem once, actually dh did and that would stand for dumb cuz I told him the computor wasn't working well] so how could I go around and do that?

Hi Guys,

I just found my way to this thread - Thanks so much for all the excitement about the color combo site - I had no idea there were this many people out there missing it as much as I was!! When the other site went down back at the beginning of the year I asked my brother if he could make something similar for me to use and for my team - gave him a sketch and description of the old site and he said he could work on it for me When SU announced the new colors I told him again I REALLY wanted a color combo generator to play with so he jumped on it for me and I'm SO thrilled to him for getting it done!!

We are still getting rid of some bugs - So if you notice anything strange feel free to let me know!!

We have plans to add a CTMH option to the color lab soon - just waiting to make sure we've got the big bugs ironed out first!!

I just found this thread. And thank goodness I did. I didn't use the old color combo machine very often, but when I needed it, I loved it. I couldn't believe it when I tried to access it tonight and found out it was gone. Thanks to all the lovely ladies here I've found the new one, added the badge to my blog and made a donation. A thousand thank yous to Julie and everyone else who helped make this fabulous tool come back!

I was playing around on it today and did notice something that made me go hmm. When doing a color search for Pixie Pink, it came back with no results. Will the retired colors be included in searches?

You're VERY welcome!!

I think the problem you are running into with the pixie pink is simply that most everyone is busy playing with the new colors and I don't think they've added many retired colors into the database in combos yet That's why none are coming up.

We're still working out some specifics on how the search works on including or not including the retired colors

Brother just sent me a message about the Search (I was double checking my answer to Donna - and that answer was right) He also tweaked the way it's handling Retired Colors in the searching for those of you who have asked here is how the search works w/the retired colors:

Now the ColorLab will only show search results containing retired colors if:
1. A retired color is included in the search (top box)
2. You select the Collection “All Colors” or “Retired Colors” while you’re searching (This will return all the color combos in the database including the color you selected even if that color combo contains a retired color)

If you want to limit your search to currently available colors only – Choose a current color or two, make sure Current Colors is selected at the top of the page and hit search.
(Note: This is the default – it’s how the ColorLab will search when you first arrive to the page)
