I tried the site again today and still don't have access. Please Laura, we loved it!!! Please let us know who, when, if it will come back. Pleeeezzzzeee!!! Just so you don't think I'm whining too much, I really loved your site and thank you for all you did/do.
I too would like to thank Laura for her work. The web site has been an invaluable tool and is very much missed. I wait with baited breath to see its return.
I went back to that site recommended on here and it seems like someone has revamped it!
It has the current SU! in colors and now you drag and drop colors from a pallette.
Nevermind the link I shared above is the link for members to create combos. And you still have to register to do that but the search part is still an option - for now.
So the difference between this site and the original Scraptitude site is that the old one you could just plunk in colours and it would give you "randomly" generated combos? Is that right or did Laura put all those combos in? If so what a huge job!!
I did donate to Laura's site because I thought it was a great resource and I sure do miss it now!
On the Sucolorq site you plunk in colours and then it shows you combos that have been submitted by registered members. It's not a bad tool to use for now I guess....
I wish we had an update on what is going on with the Scraptitude site - anyone know?
I was always able to drag and drop...what I'm trying to figure out is how to get it to make color combo suggestions. The other site was really great! I cannot wait til its up and running.
I liked how Laura's site gave you color combinations because I can not seem to do that. I guess I am not very "color creative". Thank goodness I have my color wheel, even though that is not really even close!

I,tot, am color challenged. I was in need of color combos,automatically went to the site then realized it was closed.
I hope someone takes over the site. Please keep us updated.

I don't use it often, but when stuck in a color challenge like I've been in for the past few weeks I do reference the site. I liked that it also contained all the old in colors as well
I sure would donate too if we could get it back up and running, or have someone take over hosting

i was also stumped about not being able to access scraptitude...and then found out via a bing search that it was no longer available..and ultimately wound up here reading this discussion aura.. thank you for maintaining this wonderful tool for so long
as we can see...its already missed tremendously...
hopefully in time..it will be up and running again..

Same here. I loved the tool and used it frequently. I am sad it is gone, but am eagerly awaiting its return. Thanks, Laura, for all your hard work maintaining this site in the past.
Maybe it's taking so long because of SU!'s color renovation. It would be great if this were one of the tools SU! offered...of course I realize it already has "The Color Coach", but wouldn't it be great....

I am still around. I've been wading through a bunch of e-mails about people wanting to purchase the code for the site. Right now I'm trying to determine who the best person would be. I think I have it figured out.
Don't worry. ALL the combos are safe as is the rest of the site. It took some arm twisting of my Ex to get it all off before the site went down, but I managed to get him to do it.
I am planning on letting someone else take over the site, it's just a matter of getting things transferred.

In my honest opinion, I believe if anything was going to happen to allow this site to return, it would have been done by now. I miss it tremendously but will just have to find other sources for my color combos. There is supposedly another site but it doesn't compare. You can pick colors but it's the colors you pick, it doesn't give you any suggestions. I think we are on our own.

I wouldn't be surprised if the new 'Color Renovations' at S/U aren't related somehow to this.....there's mention of "an awesome Color Coach tool that will make color selection better than ever!" on a S/U demo's website ( http://www.stampinpretty.com/stampin...enovation.html). I saw it on another thread this morning.
Somehow, this would make sense to me...the longer-than-expected delay in getting the site back up. S/U doesn't do anything willy-nilly. They take their own sweet time in making decisions and have proven they can keep secrets.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if S/U somehow resurrected this site?? Of course, I have no doubt it would cost money somehow to use it, but now that we've had to 'go it alone', so to speak, many are willing to open their pocketbooks to get this service back.

I am disappointed to see so many colors going away after the $$$ I have invested to buy paper, stamp pads and reinkers. I guess that's the way of the world. Too bad!
