Joseph’s Coat
by Melissa Stout
Use this technique to create a gorgeous multi-colored background.
Supplies
- Glossy White Cardstock
- Spectrum Pad
- Black Dye Inkpad (Or other dark color)
- Spectrum Pad™
- Versamark™ Pad
- Embossing Buddy™
- Clear Embossing Powder
- Heat Tool
- Brayer (I use 2: 1 for Black only, 1 for all my other projects)
Step-by-Step
-
Step 1
Brayer the Spectrum Pad™ of your choice on to the glossy white cardstock and allow it to dry.
-
Step 2
Rub the Embosssing Buddy™ over the cardstock, then randomly stamp your images with Versamark™ ink.
-
-
Step 3
Pour clear embossing powder over stamped images, and heat to emboss with your heat tool. Allow to cool.
-
-
Step 4
Brayer black dye ink over cardstock to cover completely.
Tip: I reserve one brayer for use with black ink only, because it is nearly impossible to clean. I keep a separate attachment to use with all of my other ink colors. -
Step 5
Wipe excess ink from stamped images to make them POP!
-
Step 6
Finish your card.

I was wondering if you can use the glossy white photo paper as well?
