Faux Linen

Scratch glossy cardstock with sandpaper to get this amazing look.
Supplies
- Medium sandpaper
- Glossy cardstock
- Blending Tool, or sponge
- Ink
- Background stamp (optional) Crafty Secrets Artsy Banner used here
- Stamps, Crafty Secrets Birds at Home used here
Step-by-Step

Step 1 (Optional)
Stamp a background on your glossy cardstock.

Step 2
Sand your cardstock making vertical lines. Sand the entire piece of cardstock.

Sand your cardstock horizontally, and keep sanding until all the gloss is gone.

Step 3
Sponge your cardstock with ink.
Hint:
The darker the ink, the more obvious the sanded lines will be. -

Step 4 (Optional)
Stamp additional images on your background.

Step 5
Sand your cardstock again in both directions to lighten the sponged color and to get the Faux Linen look.

Step 6
Finish your card.

Variations
Alternative Inks
Use craft or chalk inks to sponge over the sanded cardstock. It will give you a different look.
