Smackin’ Acetate

by Beate Johns

Markers on acetate make a marvelous background.

Supplies

  • Water-based Markers, Distress markers (Tumbled Glass, Shabby Shutters and Wild Honey) used here

  • Piece of acetate

  • Misting bottle filled with water

  • Stamps(Taylored Expressions Embrace Beauty used here)

  • Ink

  • Neutral cardstock

Step-by-Step

  1. Step 1

    Scribble markers on acetate.

    Hint:
If you don't have a marker handy, try a water brush and re-inkers.

  2. Step 2

Spray water on the acetate. For a fine mist, hold the bottle about 6 inches away and spray a couple of times.

  3. Step 3

    Place acetate on neutral cardstock.

  4. Step 4

Rub your finger over the acetate to spread the water mixture.

  5. Step 5

    Let cardstock dry.

  6. Step 6

    Stamp image on cardstock.

  7. Step 7

    Finish your card.
