Photo Altering - Colored Photos

by Karin McMahon

Give your photos a unique look using Lumiere® and Pearl-Ex® to spruce them up!

Supplies

  • Pearl-Ex™ in Interference Gold

  • Crystal Effects™

  • Stipple brush

  • Medium watercolor brush

  • Mixing Palate

Step-by-Step

  1. Step 1

Print your picture in color on glossy cardstock.

  2. Step 2

Mix Interference Gold Pearl-Ex™ with Crystal Effects™ in one palate, pour plain Crystal Effects™ in the other.

  3. Step 3

Using a stipple brush, "pounce" plain Crystal Effects™ all over the photo to give a canvas-like texture.

  4. Step 4

Using a medium watercolor brush, paint PE-CE mix over main image (in this case, the flowers), making sure brush strokes are prominent (in other words, don't over-blend!).

  5. Step 5

Layer onto cardstock. In this case, I used Sculpted Style to create an "Art Gallery" frame and matted it with Basic Black Cardstock.
