Faux Washi Tape

Create your own Washi tape in a few easy steps.

Supplies

  • Post-It Super Sticky Label Roll (3M)

  • Stamps

  • Ink

  • Scissors

Step-by-Step

  1. Step 1

    Peel off pieces of tape from the Post-It Super Sticky Label Roll.

  2. Step 2

    Stamp tape with images and ink of your choice.

  3. Step 3

    Cut end of tape with regular or decorative scissors and adhere to card front.

  4. Step 4

    Finish your project.

I would love to try this out but no shops in the UK sell the tape but I did enjoy watching your video I could cut the sticky bit off from the post its and try that any how thank you

I LOVE; this idea. Two questions....(1) what is the name of the flower stamp that you used and (2) if you said the tape comes off the paper easily, how do you keep it on the card front? Doesn't it come off easily?

I don't see the difference between putting money in this tape versus just stamping a strip of paper and gluing it to the card like we've always done.

I, also, use papertape from the bandaid area from my drug store. It works just as well, too.

What kind of double-stick tape are you using?

This tape can usually be found with office supplies.

Nice concept but video didn't need to be 15 minutes. Too much unnecessary stuff just to show a simple technique.
