This is for the inspiration challenge of this week. I wanted to make a card that honors the richness and traditions of this Festival of Lights, and also my meomories of many wonderful holidays growing up. Thank you Karen for insopiring this card and evoking suh happy memories!!
The background is a wonderful stamp by Cornish Heritage farms called Victorian Leaves. I stamped it in versamark and then embossed it with silver. Then I sponged burgundy on the card. I used the tiniest bit of platinum stickles for the candle flames. The dove and branch were also embossed in silver, I used burgundy marker to *color in* what was not embossed. TFL!

Beautiful Nancy. I love how the sponging of the background gives it even more depth than just embossing on plain paper. Glad you enjoyed the challenge! Thanks for playing!
