I just saw the new mini and I am obsessed with the color combo of the pinks, browns and cool carribbean. So I decided to try a simple card with emboss resist - I stamped the flower from LL+ on glossy cardstock in Positively Pink (retired) and then I embossed with clear powder. THen I brayered close to cocoa and then Chocolate chip (CTC wasn't dark enough for the look I was going for). I then wanted to put the card together but it didn't seem like the brown was "dry". So I put a piece of scrap paper over it and brayered to blot. The attached is what showed up on the scrap paper. I thought it actually was cooler than the stamped glossy paper. I forgot to scan the intended card before I sent it out this morning, but when I got home I saw the scrap sitting here and knew I couldn't let it go to waste. I added chalk (with daubers) in pretty in pink on the flowers and then chalked the rest of it in chocolate chip to even out the color a little bit. I may have to try some more of this transfer technique on purpose this time. Oh, I also self-dyed the cool carribean ribbon from some white ribbon with a reinker.
