This week, Teapotters are sending paper hugs to DebbieinOC's friend of a friend, Carol. She is a hairstylist who has just begun her radiation treatment. Lisa/Shoe Girl challenged us to use a pair of scissors in our cards and extra points for using the color pink!
I got this foil-stamped origami paper from Daiso, and fussy cut these flowers. The main panel was sponged with Ladybug ink then spattered with white acrylic paint. I thought it needed a little bit more pizzazz, so I tried gilding the edges: put a 1/8" double sided tape on the edges, then used a soft brush to make the gold flakes stick.
I went on a quote hunt for the word "Hope", and there are so many beautiful quotes for hope, but I kept coming back to this because it spoke to me...I hope that it speaks to Carol, too.
Thank you for the opportunity to cheer someone up, Debbie, thanks for the challenge, Lisa, and thanks everyone for looking!

Absolutely gorgeous. I thought you had colored around gold embossing; your fussy cutting is amazing! Love the gold gilding around the edges too. Everything is just to beautifully soft and soothing.

I love everything about this beauty, Gem. Those fussy cut flowers are gorgeous. The sentiment really is amazing. And the gold edge just puts the whole card over the top!
