I made this card for this week's Teapot challenge "Cutting Up" for a young mother who is battling Stage 4 cancer. I hope she gets showered with lots of uplifting cards.
The challenge from Lisa was to use scissors. I created a "mask" by stamping this image on scrap paper and fussy cutting around the flowers and little gal! Let me tell you...that was some careful cutting! LOL I then put my mask over my image which was stamped on white cs, sponging with grays through my brick stencil. I removed my mask and stencil and colored the image with markers. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out, also, and glued it onto my card along with a few sequins.
Thanks Pat for requesting cards for Katherine. Sending up prayers for her and her family.

This is soooo sweet Gracie! Your coloring of this main image is just gorgeous and so is the masking you did in order to create the background scene. Katherine is going to love this fabulous card you made for her! ~Karen.

Great masking to create a scene with real depth that's still easy to post. I love fussy-cutting for masks but I always find that the narrow things like stems and tails tend to tear :-(. At least stencilling allows a little more control over the application than sponging. This is just so sweet - put a big smile on my face on a grey morning.

Gracie, it would appear you didn't get my email - please refrain from using drop dead gorgeous stamps that I can't get!!! Seriously my friend, this is super duper terrific and awesome fussy cutting of the mask - brilliant take on the challenge too. Love this to bits.
