I created this scene for my best youth friend it's a long time ago I didn't send her a card and I feel a bit guilty I will not tell you her private life but this card is going to her remembering our youth complicity.
I didn't use any stamps created this scene with water color paint here and there I've used acrylic paint and mousse with a Q-tip, I used glue and glitter to give a frozen look to the water, a black fine marker to doodle the trees, and I've die cut 2 skaters, I used a white gel pen to highlight some lines.

Being reminded of happier times can bring comfort especially when expressed by someone else's sweet memories reminded them of that person as well. It brings joy to feel you are a sweet memory to someone else. Your thoughtfulness will bring her some happy thoughts.

Anita, your friend will love this. It's a beautiful scene. Did you skate on the canals, back when there was still ice on them in the winter? Such great memories for you. I was a baby when we moved to Canada, so I never had that pleasure, but I used to read about it in the Anne de Vries books and envied my cousins.

What a fun wonderful card! Reminds me of ice skating on a pond the fire department filled with water when I was a kid. I am impressed that you made a wonderful scene without stamps!

What a spectacular handpainted scene, Snietje! This card is just gorgeous! I'm sure your friend will cherish this beautiful card. I just love the way those two skaters are rushing to embrace each other :0)

Anita, your background is just so beautiful. It reminds me of some children's books. And I really like the simple silhouette die-cuts of you and your friend set against it.
