I made this card for this week's Teapot Tuesday Challenge. Polly is our hostess this week and she has a wonderful challenge for us called, "Pay It Forward." This card is going to someone who is dealing with cancer and could use some cheering up and she intends to send cards to others when she is feeling better herself.
I picked up this Safari background stamp at a garage sale earlier this summer so I was anxious to ink this up. I inked it up in Versamark ink, added black embossing powder and heat set it. Then, using a no name makeup brush, I added pink ink to the background.
This fancy cat was stamped on an oval die cut, colored with copic markers and layered onto a scalloped oval die. The card needed something so I added the sparkly hello die, then I was happy. The inside sentiment says, "Sending you strength, hope, comfort and peace." Dealing with cancer is tough so I hope this fancy pink kitty helps the recipient to feel a bit better. Thanks for the wonderful challenge Polly and thank you for looking today! ~Karen.
