It's a good thing that the IC challenge is about INSPIRATION and NOT Replication! Because although I looked through absolutely ALL the fabric samples I kept going back to this Retro Geometric Optic Art Piece
Since my chalks & cotton balls were still on the desk from yesterday's card I decided to go back to a random retiform design. Now my mind said rectangles but my hand and eye seemed intent on triangles so this took on it's own life. I stamped my Sassy Senior (a retro kind of gal) once on my background and on a piece of scrap stock. Colored with prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. Fussy cut and edged with a black sharpie. Finished with my simple sentiment.
This will go to a friend turning 60 who is a bottle strawberry blonde (tried to capture that in my image). Inside says Lying about our age is WAY easier now that we actually have trouble remembering what the heck it is.

Wonderful retiform bg in soft, pretty tones, Linda! I laughed when I saw your sassy senior, fabulously coloured - I have just turned 60 and hope I don't look quite this old, LOL!!

Great background results from your inspiration piece...love your colors! Your little old lady and sentiment create a card that brings a smile and chuckle!

Linda, I just could not resist that stamp and had to get it on the last sale from Unity. Love the pretty bg you have added to it.
