Every month I create a card and message for the young men and women in my local church who are serving full-time missions for the Lord. I admire them so much for giving up 18-months to two years of their life to take the good news of Jesus Christ to the areas they are called to serve. It is hard work and they experience difficult times, but they persevere because they love the Lord. This month's theme was "You Can Do Hard Things." I have a couple of Penny Black stamp sets that are perfect for these kind of encouragement cards. This month I used Hope Shines. I also wanted to experiment with creating watercolor background using Ken Oliver Color Burst Powders and they turned out beautiful. The orange background was sent to the young men and the purple and teal to the young women. I hope it encourages them to trust in the Lord.
