This week's teaparty, Music by the Sea is for Lambert and Kathy Kanakaole, Vicki's (Hawaiian) family. Come join the party and add some sunshine to their life.
I printed out the Vanilla Arts Lighthouse digi and followed her color "recipe." I added the white tree blossoms with a gel pen. wanted a bit more froth for the waves and clouds, so I used my new fan brush and white acrylic paint. I like how the fan brush makes such small brush strokes when you dab it.
Used a rope ef strip and blue paper strips from my stash. This will go out on Monday to stretch out Lambert's teaparty! TFL

This is gorgeous, Carla! I have that digi image but haven't tried using it. I really like your coloring and the addition of the white with your new fan brush. The "rope" down the side is a fabulous touch.

What a fun layout with the long horizontal strip ( like a sand bar!) and out-of-the-box lighthouse. That EF is fab, and your colouring is just amazing, the sky and sea are so beautiful.

You have created a most stunning lighthouse scene here Carla. I wish I was drinking my tea and looking out at this view right now rather than the -18 degree frigid view I am currently looking at. Thank you for saying how you used your gel pen and fan brush on this card because I am excited to try these techniques now. Lambert will so appreciate this gorgeous card Carla. ~Karen.
This is absolutely gorgeous sis Carla. I agree with Catherine that rope ef is surely a eye catcher. My BIL will love this . My Ohana Mahalo you and humbling appreciate your kindness in sending them sweet thoughts and support at this time.

Wowzer, I love your coloring and the texture of the rope ebf. I'm gonna have to try the fan brush technique. I've been following the vanilla arts a little bit but haven't watched any of her stuff yet. Guess I'll have to dig a little deeper into some of my pins. Awesome card. Here you go enabling me ...happy 2018.
