Check me out. I made an actual CAS card for the CAS challenge. LOL.
Also, today I really put my stamp index in Evernote to really good use. When I read Tricia's challenge, I typed in "apple" and came out with all my apple stamps (digital and otherwise). Well, all the ones that I've catalogued so far. I have A LOT more to do.
Well, you know what? I catalogued this set--SU Country Apple, yesterday. It's one that I bought on Ebay in a box of several old SU sets. When I pulled it out of my drawer yesterday, I thought to myself "am I ever really going to use this set? This isn't very me at all." But, here I am a day later with a card that I really like. I liked the idea of trying out this apple core. It was pretty fun to assemble (thank goodness for the Stamp-a-ma-jig!). So I printed out the sentiment first and began by inking up the core with Antique Linen and some Tea Dye. Then I spritzed and stamped. Next, I inked up the top and bottom with Festive Berries and a bit of Aged Mahogany and spritzed and stamped again. Finished off with the stem and leaf inked up with Shabby Shutters and Forest Moss. I got a little overzealous with the spritzing (I usually do) and have some splatter around the leaf, but I'm OK with it. Finally, I colored in the stem with some Spectrum Noir markers and popped the whole panel up on the card base with some mounting squares.
This card will go to my Gram in the nursing home. I think she'll appreciate the humor.
