Thanks, Julie, for jumping in and giving us an Inspiration Challenge today - I hope Audrie is ok!
I needed to make some Halloween cards and so the Fall Decorating Dept of Kirklands was a great place for ideas! I was inspired by this sweet pumpkin frame - mostly the design and colors - as I went a little more sinister with my spooky cat die cut!
The background inside my frame was made using the technique of watercoloring and gold embossing of tissue paper from last weeks Try A New Technique challenge - check out Loll's video and the challenge here
I die cut the frame using the rectangle Peek a Boo Window die from MFT. I layered the tissue behind the cut out with foam tape to give it depth. I adhered the orange panel to the white card base with foam dots as well. I gold embossed the sentiment from Rubbernecker on black card and layered it on foam dots as well.
I ended up making 8 cards in all - 4 of them have a raven instead of a cat and a different sentiment.
Accessories: gold embossing powder, heat tool, foam dots, orange rhinestones - Amuse, Mini Cat and Raven Die - Tim Holtz/Alterations, Rectangle Peek a Boo Window die - MFT
Techniques: embossing, die cuts, watercolored tissue paper

Oh my...love this! Your metallic tissue paper bg is spectacular and I so love that scary black cat! Really like how you've made a peek-a-boo look at your beautiful bg framed with those double stitched lines. SUPER card!
