I chose this color combo from our inspiration site today here, but went with a Christmas theme for my one layer card (gotta keep making those Christmas cards!)
Masked off my border with artists tape. Stamped the branch in my MISTI, using markers and small ink pads - adding bits of color at a time and stamping repeatedly. Then I added white dots on the berries with my white gel pen. Here's the critical part: When I was satisfied, I cleaned my stamp and then stamped with versamark and clear embossed the whole branch and berries. Sponged my bg which the embossed branch resists. Splattered white acrylic paint for texture and interest, then stamped the sentiment. Removed the mask very carefully!! Jill Foster has some great videos of this technique if you are interested - she is a master!!

WOW great bg...snow flurries are so three-dimensional I can almost smell snow! LOVE the pine needs and berries...equally dimensional and glisten with new fallen snow! WONDERFUL card!

Thud! This is so beautiful and I love the CAS and flat design for mailing this Christmas. I am considering this, or one very much like it for m cards this year. Thanks so much for sharing with us at the Mod Squad challenge. Good luck and hope to see you again.
