I got a bit carried away, sometimes I just don't know when to stop LOL. My paints seem to have gone clumpy and a bit dry, which is really disappointing and a clear indication that lids should be screwed on properly!
To disguise the lumps in the paint, I continued with Cathie's technique, but instead of using more paint, I used Distress Stain. They come with their own built in foam dauber..bonus!
By now I had covered up all the white areas of the card, so I stenciled on some white Dylusions acrylic paint using my fingers. I then finished off the background by adding random stamps.
About the new mum. She is a rubber stamp from Unity Stamp Co, I have also photographed the stamp package so you can see where I modified her ever so slightly, but still given her a new look.
I stamped the image on linen finish cardstock, then coloured the sleeves of her jumper with Prismacolour pencils, then I coloured the remainder of her jumper and an extra 4"length in a green Spectrum Noir marker.
I used some old acetate packaging to lay over the top of the coloured image and using a Sharpie pen I drew the shape of her tummy and the sway in her back. Once this looked OK, I cut the shape out, used it as a template to use on my coloured image.
The only part of the Unity gal that got cut off was the small part of her jumper in the bottom left hand corner.
Her hair and skin are coloured with Prismacolour pencils. I forgot to give her hair highlights when I was colouring, but being pencils, I just used an eraser to remove a small area, I then used a brown Copic to add a few dark flicks of hair.
Her boot started out life as a Unity Stamp, it is a boot pointing in the opposite direction with a gorgeous bunch of flowers sticking out the top. I stamped the boot, flipped it over, trimmed it to a better size for the dress, then added some details with markers.
Thanks so much for looking, and thank you Cathie for a fun tutorial.
EDIT: When the panel is dry enough I will adhere it to a card base.

Wowzers!!! This is soooo gorgeous!!! I don't know how you created these dresses!!! Stunning color! If I didn't have this stamp I would have never guessed you designed the dress, It's so seamless I would have thought it was one stamp! I think this is my favorite Unity gal. I love her so much and you made her shine!

I love your card, Susie, it's beautiful! The colors you chose work fabulous together. I too have had some of my acrylic paints that come in jars dry up. If they haven't completely dried out you can add some water to thin them a bit. I saw Dyan suggest this in a video for her Dylusions paints. I love that you used the stains with the technique. What's so much fun, is that this technique can be used with so many different mediums. You can use Distress Paint, Stains, Inks, watercolors etc. You did an amazing job coloring the image too. Awesome job, I love it!
