I wasn't actually going to upload this, made in haste before work. I don't use 3D projects, so I didn't put my heart into it, but it was too cute not to try. I made mine smaller, cutting the strips narrower (3/4", and a couple thinner again).
My stem was made quilling style with a long strip of card coiled round a knitting needle, and I also coiled the tendrils round a pencil to curl them.
*Top tip - running the strips through my fingers a couple of times before starting to assemble helped them to bend/curve more evenly.

I am on the same page as you – I’m usually not at all interested in doing 3D projects, as they are just not my thing at all! But your pumpkin is PRECIOUS and makes me think I may need to participate in this TLC after all! Thanks for sharing with us – I hope you enjoy your new piece of adorable and tasteful autumn decore!

Well, you should make more 3D projects if this was just made in haste - I'm sure you could find someone to give them to!! Love your curling idea for stem and tendrils!
