It's that time of year again! What with all that was happening in August and a major lack of energy, I'm a bit late in switching out my summer sampler. I had to create a new Autumn one, as I gave my previous one away when I created a summer one for a friend...I sent her both so that she now has a full set.
A couple of squares are similar to my earlier version but most are different.
All squares are 2 1/4", matted onto Bazzill cut at 2 3/8" and 2 1/2". The green square is 9" square, scored at 3" and 6" which I find helps me place the squares more evenly.
Top right: sponged sky, SB Cattails for the corn, CottageCutz picket fence, fringed grass; SB ovals and MB tendril for the pumpkin, Petie and Wilbur from Rubbernecker, coloured with Inktense pencils.
Top centre: Sunflower Ladybug from Stampendous, coloured with Polychromos, the ladybird is stamped twice, cut out and shaped slightly and popped up (and coated with Glossy Accents), and I also cut a couple of petals free and curled them up slightly. Inktense sky.
Top right: Sponged and spritzed panel, Cottage Cutz build a grapevine wreath, and gold chunky EP. The leaves were all coloured with Inktense pencils.
Centre left: old Penny Black image coloured with Polychromos pencils.
Centre: Nutmeg, from Purple Onion Designs, coloured with Polychromos pencils. Masked to sponge in the sky, some white gel pen detail added to the owl.
Centre right: LOTV Little Critters (Woodland), the dormouse was stamped and masked. I used the grasses from Wetlands and smackdown technique (wild honey, forest moss, mustard seed) to create the corn field, and Gelatos for the sky. Mouse is coloured with Polychromos.
Bottom left: Elliot, from Purple Onion Designs, coloured with Polychromos. He's sitting on part of an Autumn Border from JoyCrafts, cut from watercolour paper and coloured with Inktense pencils. The background was embossed with the Darice leafy swirl ef, and heavily sponged with blue. Then I wiped over the embossed areas with green and wild honey, and finally toned it all down by sponging with Antique Linen DOX.
Bottom centre: Background was some spritzed background, probably Brusho acrylic mists. I embossed it with the same ef as the previous square, and then buffed it with assorted luster rub-ons from Craft-T, and added a few dots with a white pen. The leaf is a wrinkle-free-distress background and an IO die.
Bottom right: Cottage Cutz hedgehog cut from kraft and sponged. Embrace Life foliage in the top corner. MFT grass border cut from a scrap, sky sponged and then spattered with gold paint. The leaves are an alcohol ink background on photo paper, cut with an IO die.
