WooHoo it is Tickle a Teapotter time and we are celebrating harvest season and having a Farmer's Market....not just any old market...Jan (aka Heartsong47, aka my de mama after Jan adopted me as a mature aged orphan several years ago during a Mothers Day challenge), I digress, Jan has sent us to the Farmers Market at Kneesaknockin, Saskatchewan, or as the locals call it, Sask.
Here we have young Ted and his sister Daisy digging up their produce the night before the market. Thank goodness there was a full moon and lots of stars!
Ted and Daisy (aka Noah and Sally by Sassy Cheryl) are two separate digi images printed together at 100%, on smooth white cardstock. This layout is actually Plan B, because I mucked up the sky on my original panel. After taking an eternity to do the grass, there was no way I was going to mow it and start again. Plan B involved cutting the sky off and fussy cutting the top 2/3rds of the images.
I had been watching a story on TV about the eclipse, hence the idea for the night sky background. Only the bottom third of the panel is adhered to the black panel. It has a good 3D feel in real life.
I had coloured Ted's hair really, really badly, so I have given him a full head and neck transplant. When I print up digi images, I always do extras on photo copy paper and add them to my colouring folder. I quickly coloured up a new head (and the polo neck of his jumper as that was a clean attachment area) and stuck it over the top of his original cardstock head and neck. Because it is just copy paper and a glue stick, you can't even see where it is attached.
I added a few rhinestones and lots of silver Stickles for the stars, the moon was done with a silver ink pad and a circle stencil. The grass is coloured with Prismacolour pencils. The kids are a combination of coloured pencils first, followed by Copics. The pumpkin was done with a Copic marker.
Thanks so much for looking, I had a heap of fun making this knowing it is going to a fellow Teapotter.

By the time I finished reading about all the transplants and off-with-the heads, I was sure this was either a horror card or I was in Alice's Wonderland! Chuckling still...but what a MARVELOUS card, Miss Susie! Absolutely gorgeous coloring and love that eclipsed moon sky and that lovely mowed grass! All your coloring and shading are the very, very best!

The textures you created with all your coloring are downright amazing. I can just feel the fuzzy sweater Ted is wearing. The little smirk on his face shows what a cool little guy he is. He's obviously taking his surgery in stride, thinking of his scar just like another patch on dungarees. All your work, and rework, certainly paid off and speaks volumes for your creative tenacity. You are a highlight in my SCS experience.

this is so cute! I remember going to a Sadie Hawkins dance in college, and having my picture taken on a hay bale- while wearing overalls! The perfect card for fall

Outstanding, Susie!! Wow, your coloring of the image is striking! Poor Ted; so sorry he had to have a head transplant! But you sure fixed him up perfectly! Daisy is so adorable, and both of them look fantastic in front of the remarkable background! You make me wish I was a teapotter!! Hugs, special lady!
