I have two summer interns who are leaving today. This one is for Fiona, who is a grad student at Columbia. She bought me a little lightbulb knick-knack for my desk because "we're so full of good ideas". So when I saw Dawn's challenge for this morning, I knew I had to use this Bugaboo Digi. Then I read Polly's challenge of using text and got the idea to print the lightbulbs onto a text DP and paint them with acrylic paint. And I pictured a big loosely painted yellow circle behind the lightbulbs. Finally, I've made a card that looks like it did in my head
The paint is a mixture of white acrylic paint, Distress Wild Honey Paint, and the leftover yellow paint from my kids' bedroom walls.
While I was setting up the Digi to print, I was thinking of what sentiment to stamp on this card, but then I got the idea to do a computer generated sentiment of "The Future is Bright". Then I sang "Candida" by Tony Orlando and Dawn the entire time I was putting the card together. Frankly, I'm still singing it.

Love the story/inspiration for this card, and more, your journey to gather the perfect components. You are, indeed, full of bright ideas. Loving your yellow on the kraft, and your mix or organic vs geometric shapes.

Amazing! I love: the text background; the somewhat muted/somewhat bright colors of your images; the circle of paint behind the main image; the sentiments being inside banners.
