My mind was brainstorming ideas for this challenge when it posted...This was one of my ideas and then I saw a similar technique used for a card posted last night....Super Yeah - now I had a good push that my idea could happen ;-) Thanks catluvr2! I usually piece my quilts but I wanted to go more for a backlight look.
I blended Distress Ink and regular inks with a little spray of water for the background. The quilt top was adhered and that was added to a distress/shadded Core'dinations Hydrangea canvas card stock square. The panel was added to a 4 1/2 inch square card base. Gina Marie Triple Tree dies were used for the trees. Pear Pizzazz and DI Forest Moss was sponged for some color depth. Snow paste was added and iridescent gems to finish the card
Your comments are so heartfelt...THANK YOU TONS!

Omgosh, this is beautiful and jumps right out of the gallery! Your technique is wonderful, the trees are so pretty with the snow and the iridescent gems pick up the background color and just sparkle and shine!
