This was my first attempt at using tissue paper to make a background - and I LOVE how it turned out-except for the blue fingers from smooshing the tissue in the watercolor, acrylic and oxide inks that I smeared on the craft sheet! After the tissue dried I crumpled it up and attached to white base with spray glue (another first for me-now I know to be sure to lay a LOT of newspaper down to catch the sticky over-spray). After it dried a second time, I thought I would add a "little extra" to the background so I give it a mist with the Lindy's Starburst spray- what a lovely soft shimmer it added to the already interesting background. The fishies are stamped on paper that I made with TH oxide colors and then die cut. The kelp, shells and sentiment are from the same Technique Tuesday stamp & die set: perfect to complete this lovely underwater scene.
