My card entry for the WT646 and CAS439 Let's Warm It Up and Friendship Challenges. Thank you to both Kathleen and Lisa for their time and talent as hostesses of these challenges.
By my own admission my CAS entry may be a bit more fuss than it should be, but, there is still plenty of clean space to be seen.
This is the first time I think I've used Zigs for a card entry. I've been a little phobic about using them. I made sure I used the Bristol Smooth paper and I can tell you it really makes a difference. Instead of going for the gusto I chose a smaller image - baby steps right? I think the more I use them the more I'll like them. There are 3 products I used on this card that I love and here's why:
1. Paper Source (Lux Creme Card Stock) This paper is so dreamy. Soft and slightly textured with a lovely stationary store look AND they have matching envies!
2. Colored Vellum - I used a lt. green and by layering achieved almost a shadowed effect.
3. Rangers Liquid Embossing Powder in Platinum. I think it's more of a soft gold than a platinum, and I like it much better. It's not as harsh.
A tropical look with colors that remind me of Tutti Frutti ice cream (she laughs)

Susie, this is a soft and beautiful card! Love the tutti fruity sponged circle in the soft tropical sunset colors. Love those green vellum leaves and the softer color on the embossed sentiment. Your flowers and also beautiful colors...such nice blending and shading!
