I made this card for the letter Q alphabet challenge. The double challenge is to make this card "Quiet, I hear a wabbit." How fun is that? My friend Donna gave this Northwoods rubber stamp to me and I had never put ink to it so I knew this challenge was the perfect time to ink up this gorgeous stamp. I colored the image with distress inks and added some shading with distress inks and an ink blending tool. Then I was completely stumped how to make the card. Ugh! I left the image on my desk for some time and I had nothing. Then one day I had some bermuda bay cardstock out and I realized that really worked with this image- yay! Then I decided on an oval for the image panel. I think I looked through every single piece of dsp I owned before I settled on this particular dsp, but I did not have enough of it to cover the 5x7 card front. Geez! The dsp was a good match to SU Soft Sky cardstock so that helped. Then I looked through my embossing folders and found this basket weave, thankfully; a bit of lace- and done. Whew! Some cards just do not come together well for me, even though they look really basic when the card is done. Not sure why that is. Thanks for looking! ~Karen.

Karen, I really and truly appreciate your kind words to me. It was so nice to make a card again and see what my fellow stampers have been up to. I KNOW EXACTLY what you mean - some of the cards I spend the most time end up looking like they are simple. I, too, have had an image done and just let it sit and wait till I can find the right colors and papers to go with it. So, I'm feelin' it!! You ended up with a beautiful creation, so it was well worth it. I do love your choice of colors. I think the little touch of lace finishes this off nicely. Again, thanks!

Your Easter eggs remind me of the ones that were made when I was little....the colors resemble them so well! Sweet basket complete with a real live rabbit too...how awesome is that! Daffodils are always a reminder that Easter is on its way. Very nice creation, Karen~
