This is another card using one of the sets that I won from Stamp Simply. I colored it several weeks ago when we were on the west coast of Florida attending a dear friend's memorial service. We stayed several days, and I got to use my colored pencils and no-line coloring. When we were packing, I realized I wanted to take something to color and quickly grabbed my pencils and a small pencil sharpener. I stamped the tulip with Antique Linen on a piece of card stock that was on my table and finished packing. Let's just say I learned that X-Press It Blending Card is not ideal for pencils. Ha! My petals are what needed the most work (and still need some), but that is primarily because I ended up burnishing before I was able to get more dimension...but at least the leaves are better...I hope...and it's a lesson learned.
I had another challenge when I got home as to how I would use it. I was limited by the size of the card stock I colored, so I used my MISTI to add the "thinking of you" sentiment from the Thinking of You Rose set, used a petite oval die, placed that over the Filigree Delight die, and popped it over Certainly Celery using dimensionals. I used my Perfect Layers tool to mat it, and then I adhered it to the textured card base and added pearls in the corners. I used a stitched rectangles die and matted it with Certainly Celery for the inside to make it look more polished...and it is completely done and ready to mail!
Thank you for taking a closer look at my card, and I hope you have a wonderful week and weekend coming up! Hugs, all!

Your coloring is so exquisitely done, Cheryl....has the look of a rare hand-painted botanical drawing with your subdued colors. The lacy framing adds to the vintage feeling. GORGEOUS!!

Oh wow sis this is so beautiful. How interesting to read about the blending card. Mind you, I think you could scribble on a brown paper bag (slightly used too) and your colouring would still be stunning. Love you xxx
