DD7ABC21F: we are on the letter F this week. I have fabric and flame - though the card makes me think of fanfare too! The double challenge is freedom for the fourth, I'll let you decide if this birthday card fits the double.
SC651 is this week's sketch challenge.
The busy starry background is actually a scrap of fabric. Years ago when my oldest was little, I sewed a fourth of July outfit for her using this fabric. I thought of it and thought it would be perfect for this card. I used spray adhesive to glue it to the cs.
The sketch challenge was perfect to use an old set, Big Birthday Candle. You might not be able to see it in the photo, but the candles have the stripes stamped on them. They were fussy cut and I could adjust the length to fit the sketch while adding the flame of the candle.
There are two layers of the star blast edgelits - the silver glitter paper version is backed with a night of navy version because that fabric is a bit busy.
The sentiment has a tiny white mat because my daughter wanted me to do white on white. The entire front panel is popped up using craft foam and mounted to a red base.
Thanks for looking!
