So . . .a little background for this card - I grew up in rural America in the late 40's and though MOST townspeople had indoor plumbing, out on the farms outhouses were the norm! Our outhouse had REAL toilet paper but Grandpa wasn't about to pay the price for "that new-fangled stuff" when Sears sent a perfectly good catalog every 6 months for free!! Oh, Lordy - was that stuff scratchy - but it was even worse if somebody else had used the last page . . .

Oh my goodness, I didn't see this during the week when it posted. What a fabulous outhouse image and such a funny sentiment. We had friends who had a mountain cabin to go to on the weekends and their cabin didn't have indoor plumbing, it had an outhouse. But, they had a fancy outhouse. They had my aunt do an oil painting for them of a busy body type older lady looking in through a window with a shocked look on her face. Then, when he hung the painting, he attached a shade that shy people could pull down to cover the painting while they used the facilities. It was hilarious! So your card made me think of that ever so fancy outhouse of my friends'! Very fun card.
