Cathy, this weeks' Ways to Use It hostess, is looking for ocean creations with her That's Sea Worthy challenge.
I've had this lovely mermaid stamp on my wish list for months. Thank you Cathy for an excuse to indulge myself I stamped her on two sheets of watercolor. Sketched and painted a shipwreck and added sea and sand. I used colored pencils to add shading. I painted and fussy cut the second mermaid image and adhered to bg panel and kraft card base. Used metallic paints and Liquid Pearl to add some glimmer. Die cut the border from scraps of sponged paper. Added twine and shell beads to finish. Hope you'll play along. TFL

This is definitely a work of art, Carla! Your mermaid is so perfect set with your sketched and painted shipwreck. All your added intricate and rustic embellishment...twine, beads, die-cut vines with the added shells and beads in the sand. Such wonderfully realistic coloring...it just draws me in!

Lovely mermaid stamp and I like how you have combined it with the delicate sealife die cuts. The silver shell charms on the twine is a pretty finishing detail.
