It's a safe bet that one of my sons is having a birthday when I make a card this elaborate. My youngest son turned 20. Whenever I make one of these altered books I swear it is my last one. Most of my cards involve mindless coloring, a little fussy cutting and maybe some glitter glue. These altered books require a doctorate in engineering. I can feel my brain cells heating up and exploding in a spontaneous combustion type of thing. Then there is that thin thread that my patience clings to....it gets weaker every time I make one of these. If you ever try to make one of these, find one image that you can use. I always end up with parts from 4 images that I have to resize to get them to look right. The hardest part of this altered book was finding the young man to use. This guy actually had a very clingy girlfriend wrapped around him...i made her vanish with a little white paint. Then I drew in the part of the young man she had been covering and printed him out. The outside of the book is covered with cardstock that I used the faux wood technique on. I hope you join in Robin's Male/ Mail F4A challenge. TCL, Francie
