DD7ABC18I: we are on the letter I. My I is the beginning of the sentiment. I did not do the double challenge.
TLC641: This week's technique lover's challenge was an extra challenge for me. I know there was a non-iron option, but I wanted to do the iron version but, our iron broke and hasn't been replaced. So, my youngest DD suggested heating up a pan and using the bottom of that as my iron. I did and it worked! She is my MacGyver! I embossed the wax paper with the Sizzix ef (I used the same folder to emboss the Night of Navy panel) and you can see it in both the Cracked Pistachio circle that the bicycle is on as well as the Broken China panel. I really like the effect it creates. DH just ordered a new iron tonight (we obviously do not use it often) so I won't have to MacGyver it next time!
S2S17W: was to feature a mode of transportation. I wanted to use the bike from Pedal Pusher but it would have modified the sketch more than I wanted to do.
I used this week's sketch to create this card. Heat embossed the sentiment and added a few decorative sequins. I thought the white border was a bit too stark so I added the splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge.
Thanks for looking!

So pretty!! Awesome macgyvering!! Didn't you know she been sneaking over to Hawaii to chillax with me her fav Hawaiian aunty!! This reminds me of grill/BBQ lighter and candles as embossing macgyverimg tools . *wink . Guess that part of why what we do is called craft.. " Witchcraft "
I guess they only removed the witch portion when men started getting involved so it wasn't only females anymore so they had to rename it just craft? My story I'm sticking to it!!

Great job with so many challenges in one! Love the ingenuity to make the technique work with what you had. Extra points for your daughter for helping you and for your DH for ordering a new iron. Terrific take on the sketch. Really cute. The bicycle is terrific and works great for a mode of transportation. Love the speckles. I like it all. TFS

This is creativity at its finest my friend. How smart your DD is!! Your backgrounds look amazing with this technique. I love the circle piece that highlights your bicycle perfectly. I really love the sentiment you used on this wonderful card! ~Karen.
