For today's colors: Cucumber Crush, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder, Delightful Dijon: Choose at least 2. Dessert: Create your own bg.
CCEE: Candied Orange Peel Day
I do not have any of the in-colors. As of 2 years ago, I no longer purchase them (I have too many of the retired colors). I started by stamping and sponging the bird and wing, added a pearl. Next, I stamped the branches and punched out, punched a few sprigs in sage and white for a nest. Adhered to the small framelit, popping up the bird with pop dots. The small die is popped using fun foam onto a larger die.
For the bg I stamped a small bg stamp repeatedly then sponged the edges, added to a thin white matting then to the cb.
I've really had a hard time with the 2 dies being white and wanted to add something to them or sponge the edges, but my DH kept assuring me it looked fine this way. It's always hard to try something different. Thanks for stopping by today! ~Roberta

GReat combination of colors, Roberta. Sage shadow is still one of my very favorite colors. Love your bg, and that cameo bird. (I don't get the new colors either. My old ones are perfectly fine!)

I never get tired of seeing that bird. I like the sprigs with the leafy branches. At first I thought the background was dp because it was so perfect. I can only tell the difference between mint macaron and sage shadow when I see them side by side.

Excellent background stamping... I really thought it was dsp! I love how you did the bird and nest. I also agree with Mike, I like the 'plain' die cuts. It's a very pretty card.

What a lovely card this is Roberta! I love all the soft colors you used and how you reserved this wonderful bold color for your sweet little bird here. The die cut layers with this branch/nest part for the bird to perch on has yielded a very elegant card my friend. ~Karen.
