May Flowers! Maura is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has asked us to use Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Crisp Cucumber and Pool Party. The dessert option is Spring.
This was an easy challenge for me! Spring means flowers to me, and this week's colors make such beautiful flowers! I used a favorite stamp set, Beautiful Blooms. I saw a card with this loopy edge die on Facebook. The first thing I did, of course, was order the die! Then I CASEd the card! To get the lighter pink color on the center flower, I stamped off with the Melon Mambo ink one time before stamping the base design. Then stamped full strength for the second layer.
I must add that I absolutely adore the Perfectly Penned stamp set. With a tiny bit of practice, you can write any word, and such pretty fonts are included in the set!
If you don't already know the Press `n Seal trick, I need to tell you about it! When you have all your little elements arranged just as you want them, take a piece of Press `n Seal, lay it over them and press! Peel up the film slowly and carefully. Turn it over and adhere all the pieces together. You can do this with any kind of tape, but I used foam tape cut in little strips. Strategic placement sticks all the pieces to each other, making one cohesive unit, and when you place it on the card, it lends added dimension.
I finished the card with a few sequins, Nuvo drops in the flower centers, and Wink of Stella to lend sparkle to the greeting.

This could not be more pretty! I absolutely love the layout and the designer paper behind that awesome looking loopy border cut. I do know the Press N Seal trick, but have yet to try it - silly me! Your little bouquet is just delightful! Into my faves.

This card is absolutely gorgeous! I love how it is a new and refreshing take on a Spring theme and you've combined all the elements perfectly. And what a great Press n' Seal trick! I will definitely give this a try and I'm so glad that you took the time to share such a delightful card and write-up with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!
