Today's Inspiration Challenge is #595 and the subject is Healing Words. I got a little off the mark and did my card on words that heal me when I am down, and those are the words of a very good book. They take me away from the difficulties these days of reality. I love a good cozy mystery, very rarely a body, more like who stole the antique book worth millions from the local vintage book store!
I watched a few Tim Holtz Distress stain videos this morning to create my bg, aged mahogany, peeled paint, spiced marmalade and a very little bit of vintage photo. Spritzed. Dried. Rolled TH tarnished brass over a large stamp, spritzed, stamped and dried, and then ironed the cs from the back to make it flat again. The book pages are real from my go-to book on vintage paper, an 1840s edition of Ivanhoe, and the photo is taken on top of this book. Embroidery floss makes the bookmark. This for all of us bibliophiles! TFL

Where to begin....
Beautiful, elegant, engaging from BG to Ephemera to Sentiment...
You had me stumped for awhile... I couldn't for the life of me remember in which book I had to place Wampa! I was wracking my brains for ages (really, I got to pacing up and down and almost, almost did an online search. I can't believe I could have forgotten him!!! I don't know how many times I've read Ivanhoe... although it has been a while )
Anyway, THANK YOU for sharing where your book pages came from!!!!!!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful card and the ingredients. Have a wonderful day!

I have always had a stack of books to read.....how lovely the times when they transport us to other times and places. Your collage-type card is wonderful.

OH I LOVE THAT SENTIMENT!!! I love your card; how cool you are to make a book like this and add glasses!! Incredible! Going into my faves!
I do this too - I have a lot of Annie's Mysteries (there are several series out there) and I love reading them, and I have a neighbor who borrows my book and reads it too.
