Tea! My favorite! Today Sabrina has us commemorating the Tea Act of 1773 that led to the Boston Tea Party. I currently have a tea bag drying so I can make another card because like I said--tea is my favorite. I put the cup together and then got a little stumped about how to decorate it. I printed out the sentiment using the "Better Together" free font from fontspace.com. Then I remembered that I have a bunch of stickers that I never ever use and might have something fun. So here is my teacup that I actually decorated with stickers--so not my thing, but I love how it came out.
This is another fun 3-D project that I will put in a basket for the raffle to raise money for my friend who is now in her 9th week in the ICU--literally fighting for her life. Sadly, they still can't get the infection under control and while they've already amputated both legs to the knee, they fear they may have to take even more. She's also losing her sight. I'm devastated that she is going through this and pray every day for her healing. I feel so helpless, so I spend all my free time feverishly making baskets of cards for any fundraiser that is held for her.

Fantastic card and gift of tea! Your dear friend sure has had a difficult road to travel, however, she is so very lucky to have you as a friend going the extra miles to help with fundraising for her and her family. Continued prayers and strength for recovery.

Jennifer, what sad news about your friend. I will pray for her too. How sweet you are doing things to help out like making baskets and cards. I can't imagine how tough this is on her friends and family. Your card is wonderful - great shape and details and papers and use of tea. Hugz
