For today's sketch, color challenge- pink & slate sky, & technique challenge-lets get clingy.
My first time with the cling wrap challenge proved to be unexpected results. I sprayed starch on white CS and dropped SU reinkers in pirouette pink & sky blue, than added more spray starch before placing cling wrap on tip and smooshing. Kept cling wrap on for 2 hrs and removed to find the ink soaked into the paper. I thought perhaps I did not use enough starch, so I attempted again, with again the same results. I'll try again, but with glossy paper, which I didn't have to begin with. I used the results for the punched flower strip border (panel #5) its mostly shades of pink with a hints of blue.
The tag (panel #6) is gray gauze paper; scallop punched the bottom end, added a diecut wren.
The ribbon (panel #7) is longer than sketch, so I could place embellishments on both ends.
I also diecut a small tag with heart cutout to add to panel 6.
Finished with hole punch on panel 6 adding raffia to both tags and assembled.
This card is for my mom's 80th birthday in May. Her favorite things are birds & flowers.
