This is a new technique for me, and I'm going to make a couple more backgrounds this morning. I tore a piece of cling wrap to larger than my A2 card, dropped dots of alcohol ink in a few places, sprayed with water, and put my glossy card stock on top, and then turned the whole thing over and smooshed the cling wrap a bit. I also tried this with Distress reinkers, and while I had to leave the wrap on that card, the alcohol Inks immediately created their design on the paper so I was able to remove the wrap right away and dry the card with low heat. I liked the way the brown looked like a branch so I stamped my bird, a flower, and the sentiment in Memento tuxedo black. Thanks so much for looking.

LOL at dressing for a mess, smart thinking, Kandie! Did you remember latex gloves, I always think of them too late when I'm using alcohol inks. I'm wondering if you sprayed with alcohol instead of water would you get more movement of the colour? But certainly what you got is just beautiful and also inspired such a lovely card - I love birds, and I see the branch too. No wait time is a bonus ;-). And Frost Mist?? Never heard of it but I'm betting this has a wonderful shimmer. I know that backgrounds on glossy paper are always more beautiful than they show on screen anyway, but if it has a shimmer too it must be so gorgeous.
Masterpiece!!! Your going to need to teach me this and walk me through . Maybe even hold my hand big sis for I'm starting to feel this will be out of my comfort zone. Because this is just so gorgeous.

Oh this is so pretty.. the colors and the simple images.. wonderfully understated and elegant!!! I don't have any alcohol inks.. other than copics.. but no refills. I'm wondering if I could use regular SU refills... on non glossy paper? I may give it a go. Thanks for the inspiration, dear friend. *hugs*
