Barbara has chosen Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, Basic Black, and Real Red for this week's color challenge, with Travel for dessert. Great combination of colors! I had to sub kraft for crumb cake, and evergreen bough for bermuda bay. I stamped the map onto kraft and used my aqua painter to color the ocean area with evergreen bough. The anchor was stamped with evergreen bough and then tiny touches of black soot. I tried to watercolor some red onto the small talk sticker which made it stick to the acrylic piece I used as a base and consequently had to go to Plan B to salvage it. That meant I needed to create a distressed look and grunge up the panel. Not too shabby for impromptu (or is it? ;p) I cut a heart from some red tulle and attached to the map to coordinate with the sticker which says, "go where your heart takes you".
